PEORIA, Ill. -- First-year Bradley Women's Golf Head Coach Halley Morell added three international players to her first recruiting class on The Hilltop with Harriet Barker (Kendal, Cumbria, England/The Queen of Katherine School), Vaijayanti Bharkhada (Brampton, Ontario/Louise Arbour Secondary) and Zeynep Ergelmis (Istanbul, Turkey/Hisar) each signing National Letters of Intent to attend Bradley.

The trio will be the first international players for Bradley Women's Golf since Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba) wrapped up her career in 2015-16.

"All three golfers have had success at the junior level both in the classroom and on the golf course and have attitudes that exemplify the high standards of Bradley University and the women's golf program," said Morell.  "I look forward to welcoming them all to campus in the fall."

Barker has claimed the Carus Green Ladies Club Championship each of the last five years and has also claimed the Cumbria County stroke play title this year.  In 2018, she was the county match play champ and has won the junior club crown both in 2019 and 2018.  Barker also claimed medalist title honors at the 2019 Junior British Masters this fall.

Bharkhada is a three-time team MVP for Louise Arbour Secondary, carding a two-under 70 to win an individual regional title this fall.  She also played soccer and volleyball for the Eagles.

Believed to be the first Bradley student-athlete from Turkey, Ergelmis earned the National Golf Club Championship award. This October she claimed top honors at the Visa Challenge.  Her medalist titles also include the Turkish Junior Tour #1, along with individual crowns at the Kemer Junior Open, President's Cup and Turkcell Challenge.  Ergelmis played in the Turkish Amateur Open in addition to the Rolls Royce Istanbull Golf Cup.

Bradley Women's Golf opens its spring schedule Feb. 21-23 at the Rio Verde Invitational in Rio Verde, Ariz.
