ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Junior Kealia Wysocki (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week after her record-setting performance at last week's Troy Cox Classic according to an announcement by the league office Monday afternoon.

Wysocki helped highlight an offensive showcase for Bradley Softball at the Troy Cox Classic, in Las Cruces, N.M., with the catcher/designated player slugging six of Bradley's 22 home runs on the weekend, while helping the Braves to a 4-1 record.

She was 7-for-15 (.467) at the plate in the five games, leaving the yard six times as she boasted a 1.667 slugging percentage and .529 on base percentage.  In addition to her six home runs, Wysocki scored seven runs and drove in 14 as she scored or drove in 15 of Bradley's 44 runs (34 percent) on the weekend.

Wysocki opened the week with a 2-for-3 outing against Montana, slugging a two-run homer and a solo shot in a 7-6 Bradley victory.  In Saturday's 12-10 comeback victory against Texas State, Wysocki went 2-for-2 with a run, 3-run homer and five RBI.  She gave Bradley a 2-1 lead with a two-run single in the first and she drove in the go-ahead run with her three-run homer in the sixth to highlight a seven-run inning.

Later that same day, she collected the first three homer game in school history, going 3-for-4 with three runs, six RBI and a walk against a San Jose State team which posted a 32-17 record last year.  Wysocki hit a three-run homer in the first, giving Bradley a 4-0 lead.  A solo homer in the top of the sixth was part of a five-homer inning for the Braves, which tied the NCAA record for home runs in an inning, and she capped the scoring in the 14-6 victory with a two-run home run in the seventh.  Wysocki went 0-for-2 with a walk in the weekend finale against New Mexico State.

Her six home runs through 10 games are more than all but one MVC team so far this season.  Wysocki is hitting .360 with a conference-best 15 RBI to date and moved into second in career home runs at Bradley over the weekend, pushing her total to 19.

Wysocki and the Braves head to Knoxville, Tenn., for the Tennessee Invitational this weekend where Bradley will open play Friday with a 1:30 p.m. (CST) game against Louisville.
