Senior Nick Porter of the Bradley track team is this week's featured athlete in the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Spotlight, presented by Enterprise Bank and Trust Company.

Porter has been a member of the most successful cross country and track program in school history during his time at Bradley. The junior reached the top of the podium at last year's Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championship when he was part of BU's winning distance medley relay team and this year, he posted the fifth-best 800m time in school history (1:54.08).

Off the track, Porter maintains a 3.58 grade point average as a biomedical science and Spanish major. He also organized 10 members of the Bradley cross country and track teams to travel to Mississippi this past summer for a Habitat for Humanity project. His other community service activities include volunteering at Peoria Marathons, Meals on Wheels and at a hospice care home.
