RIO VERDE, Ariz. -- One to two inches of snow Thursday night into Friday morning has caused the 17th annual Rio Verde Invitational to be shortened to two rounds, with Friday's opening round canceled.

Bradley Women's Golf, which is playing in the Rio Verde Invitational for the 16th consecutive season, was scheduled to tee off Friday's opening round of the event at 2 p.m. (CST) Friday afternoon.  With rain and highs in the low to mid-40's forecast for Friday afternoon, the Rio Verde Invitational was shortened to a 36-hole event and will be played Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday's round will tee off at 12:30 p.m. (CST) at the par-72 Quail Run Course at Rio Verde Country Club.  Sunday's round will begin at 9:30 a.m. (CST).
