PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Women's Basketball returns to Renaissance Coliseum after a three-game road swing to host its annual Play4Kay Weekend, which also includes a Teddy Bear Toss and a free youth clinic.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink to Friday's 7 p.m. game against Indiana State along with Sunday's 2 p.m. contest against Evansville as part of Play4Kay Weekend. In addition to encouraging fans to wear pink this weekend, the Braves are asking fans to take part in the Coach G Play4Kay Challenge. Those interested in participating are asked to make a pledge for each free throw made by the Braves during the month of February or can designate a flat dollar amount, with proceeds benefiting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Bradley Women's Basketball has partnered with Cuddle for Kids for Friday's game, which will feature a Teddy Bear Toss at halftime. All teddy bears will be donated to the OSF Children's Hospital.
The Braves will hold a free youth clinic following Sunday's game against Evansville. The event is open to all grade school children (K - 8th grade) with Bradley Women's Basketball players and coaches providing instruction. No pre-registration is required, but participants are asked to wear active wear and gym shoes.
Bradley brings a 15-5 overall record into the weekend and is alone in fourth in the MVC standings at 5-4, marking the team's best start to league play since 2009-10.
