ROCKFORD, IL – Freshman Bozana Lojpur pulled out her third consecutive 3-set victory at No. 2 Singles, lifting Bradley (5-1) to its fourth consecutive dual match victory, a 4-3 win against North Dakota (2-3) Saturday afternoon at Boylan Tennis Center.

Lojpur also teamed with senior Malini Wijesinghe for a 6-2 win at No. 2 Doubles, helping the Braves get the match started by claiming the ever-important doubles point.  Coupled with the similar 6-2 victory at No. 1 Doubles by Natalia Barbery and Sandra Maletin, that opening doubles point became even more important when Barbery, the reigning Missouri Valley Conference Singles Player of the Week, was forced to retire in her match at No. 4 Singles.

With the Braves trailing in the team score, 2-1, Maletin (No. 1) and Wijesinghe (No. 3) both finished off straight-sets victories to push Bradley back in front, 3-2.  Lojpur and fellow freshman Nikki Perlwitz both went to third sets and Lojpur delivered with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 victory for the clinching point.

Through the first six matches of her college dual match career, Lojpur has gone to three sets five times, winning four of the five extended matches.

After sweeping its weekend trip to Rockford to run its winning streak to four in a row, the Braves will return home for a 4-match home stand, beginning with a 5 p.m. clash Friday against UIC at the Clubs at River City.  Admission is free for all Bradley Tennis regular-season home matches.
