DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Junior Taylor Ledwein earned the first medalist title of her collegiate career, winning the individual title at the Babs Steffens Hatter Collegiate by three strokes while helping Bradley Women's Golf to a second-place team finish.

Ledwein entered the day tied with Lamar's Laura Pasalodos Barcelo for the individual lead at even par and fired a one-over par 73 on the final day of play at the par-72 LPGA International Hills Course Monday to win medalist honors by three strokes.

The individual title was the first collegiate win for Ledwein and first medalist title by a Bradley individual since Allie Scaccia won the 2017 Redbird Invitational.  Ledwein's one-over par 217 is the lowest 54-hole score of her career and 10th-best individual score in school history.  She earned her third top-10 finish of the year and 11th of her career.

Bradley tied for the low round of the day at six-over 294 as the Braves held onto second in the team standings at 906, five strokes back of team champion Lamar (901).  Bradley's final round 294 was it's lowest round of the spring and second-lowest round of the 2018-19 season in addition to tying for the eighth-lowest team round in program history.  The Braves also matched their lowest 54-hole score (906) of the year set at the season-opening Golfweek Program Challenge back in early September.

Seminole State, which took second at last year's NJCAA National Championship, was third in the 12-team field with a three-round total of 914 to finish eight shots back of the Braves.

Senior Frankie Saban matched her lowest round of the season with a one-under 71 and was seventh in the field at eight-over par 224 as she earned her third top-10 finish of the year.

Fellow senior Brooke Thompson matched Saban for low-round honors on the team with a one-under 71 Monday as she carded the lowest round of her Bradley career.  Thompson, who earned her first top-20 finish of the year, tied for 14th overall at 13-over 229.

The freshmen duo of Megan Welch and Elyse Emerzian both fired matching 79's on Monday.  Welch tied for 24th overall at 236, while Emerzian's 79 was her lowest round of the season and helped her finish in a tie for 55th at 246 in the final standings to round out the team scoring for the Braves.

Bradley also had three players in the field as individuals, with sophomore Maddie Hawkins earning her first career top-10 finish to highlight the group.  After shooting a career-best 71 in Sunday's second round, Hawkins fired a four-over 75 to earn a share of 10th overall at 227.

Junior Megan Medinger wrapped up her best tournament since the Johnie Imes Invitational in early October, claiming 17th in the field at 230 after shooting a third-round 79.  Freshman Sarah Nacos matched Medinger's final round 79 and tied for 42nd overall at 240.

The Braves return to action this weekend, hosting the Bradley Spring Invitational Saturday and Sunday at WeaverRidge Golf Club.
