The Bradley track teams wrapped up action at the Raleigh Relays and a weather-shortened EIU Big Blue Classic on Saturday with sophomore Alec Hartman highlighting the day for the Braves in the 800m run.

In North Carolina, Hartman clocked a time of 1:49.88 to place second of eight runners in the invitational heat. He edged defending Valley Champion Kevin White of Loyola by 0.31 seconds and also ran the second-fastest time in school history in the event – just 0.16 seconds shy of his own school record set at last year's NCAA West Preliminary.

Junior Scott Seymour and senior David Shadid also ran the 800m at the Raleigh Relays. Seymour clocked a time of 1:51.10, while Shadid ran the distance in 1:52.60.

At Eastern Illinois, the Braves posted two top-10 finishes in the men's 1,500m run before the rest of the meet was cancelled due to weather. Freshman Joey Simon placed fourth in 4:10.61, while junior Nick Porter was seventh in 4:13.28.

The Braves are back in action next weekend, competing at Indiana State's Gibson Invitational. The two-day meet is set to begin on Friday.
