PEORIA, IL – Halting a 10-match drought against Saint Louis and a brief, 2-match skid overall, Bradley (9-4) rallied for a 4-3 dual match victory against the visiting Billikens (4-8) Thursday afternoon at the Clubs at River City.

Facing a 3-2 deficit with two matches remaining on the courts, senior Malini Wijesinghe forced a tie with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 3 Singles.  In the only 3-set match of the day, sophomore Sandra Maletin  pulled out a 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 win at No. 1 Singles against Cassie McKenzie to secure Bradley's first win against the Billkens since April 13, 2005.

Bradley head coach Matt Tyler shuffled his Nos. 2 and 3 Doubles pairings for Thursday's match and the move paid off with victories in both spots to secure the leadoff doubles point.  Freshmen Bozana Lojpur and Nikki Perlwitz rallied from a 1-4 deficit for a 7-5 win at No. 2 Doubles to secure the point after junior Lindsay Haight and Wijesinghe earned a 6-4 win at No. 3 Doubles.

With junior Natalia Barbery unavailable for singles action, the Braves moved players up a spot into the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 positions and the Billikens took advantage by winning at all three spots to take a 3-2 lead in the team scoring.

Lojpur earned Bradley's second point with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph at No. 2 Singles.  Lojpur, Maletin and Wijesinghe all earned their 10th wins of the dual match season in their respective playing positions.

Thursday's match was Bradley's final non-conference home match of the year.  The Braves will start a 4-match road swing Sunday by visiting former Missouri Valley Conference rival Tulsa in a 10 a.m. dual at the Case Tennis Center.
