SPRINGFIELD, MO – Bradley won five of the six singles matches to earn a 5-2 Missouri Valley Conference dual match win Sunday at Missouri State (9-9, 2-2 MVC).  With the win, the Braves (13-7, 2-1 MVC) moved into a tie for second place in the league standings as they prepare to host the final two matches of the regular season next weekend.

Bradley rebounded from dropping the doubles point, 2-1, by winning each of the top five positions in singles play.  With the team outcome in question, sophomore Nina Marjanovic pulled out a 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 5 Singles to deliver the clinching point.  Bradley won all three of Sunday's 3-set decisions as No. 4 player Natalia Barbery also won in three sets to give the Braves a 3-2 lead and No. 3 player Malini Wijesinghe finished off the day with a 3-set win for the final point.

Freshman Bozana Lojpur put the Braves on the board with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 2 Singles and senior Sandra Maletin rolled to a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 1 Singles to give Bradley a 2-1 lead.

Lojpur tied Ariel Dechter's 2014-15 school record by earning her 14th dual match win of the season in the No. 2 position, while Wijesinghe claimed sole possession of the program record for wins in the No. 3 position with her 13th victory of the dual match campaign.  Wijesinghe also took over sole possession of the No. 2 spot on Bradley's all-time singles wins list by claiming her 74th career singles victory.

For just the sixth time in program history, Bradley has won at least 13 dual matches in a season and the Braves will have at least three chances to match and or set a new mark, beginning Saturday when they host Drake in an 11 a.m. match at the David Markin Tennis Courts.  The Braves then will close out the regular season Sunday by hosting UNI in a 10 a.m. Valley dual.

Heading into the season's final weekend, Bradley is tied with Drake for second place in the Missouri Valley Conference standings.  Both teams trail league-leading Illinois State (3-0), which will host UNI Saturday and Drake Sunday.
