The Bradley track teams continues action during the outdoor season this week, competing at the Drake Relays and Kip Janvrin Open at Simpson College.

MEET INFO
The Drake Relays begin on Thursday with the Braves slated to compete in the 800m, 3,000m steeplechase and 5,000m. On Friday, just Niamh Markham is slated for the 1,500m, while Bradley wraps up action in Des Moines on Saturday with Alec Hartman, Scott Seymour and David Shadid in the 800m.

On Friday, Bradley is also set for action at Simpson College for the Kip Janvrin Open with the meet beginning at 1 p.m.

PAIR CLOCKS TOP-TWO TIMES IN CALIFORNIA
Junior Scott Seymour and freshman Hannah Ivy led the Braves at the Bryan Clay Invitational last week as the duo each posted the second-best time in their respective event.

Ivy opened the meet on Friday and raced a 56.60 in the 400m dash. The rookie's time was 1.26 seconds faster than her previous PR and is the best time by a Brave since 1991. She currently owns the seventh-best mark by an MVC runner this year in the 400m and the top time by a freshmen by nearly a second.

Seymour then followed and ran a 1:50.40 in the 800m run last Friday for the second-best mark in school history, placing 25th of 154 runners in the event. He now ranks fourth in the Valley with his time and 48th in the West Region.

LAST YEAR AT DRAKE
While the Braves are making their first appearance at the Kip Janvrin Open, Bradley is making its annual trip to the Drake Relays. Last season, Bradley runners clocked eight PR times at the meet, while also adding two relay teams that recorded top-five times in school history.

Individually, Taylor Floyd Mews led the BU men with the fourth-best time in school history in the 5,000m run, while three women added their name to the top 10 record book. Kathryn Adelman and Emma Makowski posted the seventh and eighth-best times in the 800m, respectively, while Gabby Juarez clocked the eight-best time in the 5,000m.

UP NEXT
The Braves wrap up the regular-season with a meet at Indiana on Friday, May 3, competing at the Bill Hayes Invitational. Bradley then will compete at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship the following weekend on the campus of Indiana State.
