TOURNEY PREVIEW

  • The tournament will be broken into several singles and doubles flights with the action split between the on-campus courts at both Chicago State and the University of Chicago.
  • The Braves will be joined in the tournament field by I-74 rival Illinois State, fellow Missouri Valley Conference rival Valparaiso, Chicago State, University of Chicago, Bellarmine and Cardinal Stritch.

TYLER'S SEVENTH SEASON
  • Matt Tyler begins his seventh year as the Bradley Women's Tennis head coach, having produced one of the most-successful six-year runs in program history.
  • The Braves enjoyed the winningest single-season in program history in 2018-19, finishing 16-8 overall and runner-up in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 4-1 league record.
  • Through his first six seasons at Bradley, Tyler owns a 61-80 dual match record and has produced four of the top 10 seasons in the program's history.

THE LONE SENIOR
  • Natalia Barbery (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/Evert Tennis Academy) is the lone senior on Bradley's 2019-20 tennis roster.
  • Barbery enjoyed a breakout junior season, earning All-MVC first-team honors at No. 3 Singles and No. 1 Doubles by combining to go 9-1 against Valley competition during the dual match season.
  • Barbery enters her senior season tied for 15th in program history with 41 career singles wins, 17th with 36 doubles wins and 17th with those 77 combined victories.

FAMILY TIES
  • While the Braves have only one senior roster, Bradley Tennis also has just one freshman – Victoria Sánchez Bronzetti (Barcelona, Spain/ES International School, Naples, FL).
  • Sánchez Bronzetti is the daughter of former professional player Emelio Sánchez Vicario, a five-time grand slam doubles and mixed doubles champion who captained Spain to the 2008 Davis Cup title.
  • Sánchez Bronzetti also is the niece of Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, the former world No. 1-ranked WTA player who compiled 14 grand slam singles, doubles and mixed doubles championships.
