BRAVES SET TO HOST BRADLEY INVITATIONAL
  • Bradley Tennis will host the 5-team Bradley Invitational Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the David Markin Tennis Courts.
  • The Braves will be joined by players from Illinois State, Saint Louis, SIU Edwardsville and Western Michigan in an event that is expected to include four flights of singles action and two flights of doubles play.
  • The weekend schedule will call for one round of both singles and doubles Friday at the David Markin Tennis Courts, two rounds of doubles and one round of singles Saturday and the final round of singles action Saturday.


MALETIN JOINS SINGLES 40-WINS CLUB
  • Junior Sandra Maletin (Belgrade, Serbia) was the lone Bradley player to complete an undefeated weekend at the season-opening Chicago State Cougar Invitational this past weekend in Chicago.
  • Playing in her customary No. 1 Singles positions, Maletin won both of her singles matches and teamed with senior Natalia Barbery for a 3-0 doubles record.
  • With her two singles wins, Maletin improved to 40-21 (.656) all-time in singles play, becoming the 17th player in Bradley Women's Tennis history to win at least 40 career singles matches.
  • Maletin also moved into Bradley's all-time top 20 with her 71 combined career wins, which rank 19th in program history.


SANCHEZ EARNS FIRST CAREER WINS
  • Freshman Victoria Sánchez Bronzetti (Barcelona, Spain) was impressive during her collegiate debut weekend at the Chicago State Cougar Invitational.
  • Sánchez Bronzetti posted a straight-sets win versus Valparaiso's Amanda Tabanera in her singles debut Saturday and finished the weekend with a 4-1 combined singles (2-1) and doubles (2-0) record.
