Men's Golf Returns To Action At Dolenc Invitational

PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley Men's Golf plays its second tournament in as many weeks with the Braves heading to the St. Louis area to take part in the Derek Dolenc Invitational at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill., Monday and Tuesday.

While the Braves will be playing in the event for the seventh consecutive season, it will be the first competition at the par-71 Gateway National Golf Links for all five Bradley individuals.

The 18-team field includes four other Missouri Valley Conference squads in Drake, Loyola, Missouri State and Northern Iowa along with seven Ohio Valley Conference teams in Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Illinois, Murray State, Tennessee Tech and UT-Martin along with tournament-host SIU Edwardsville.

Both Monday's opening two rounds and Tuesday's final round will feature 8:15 a.m. shotgun starts. BradleyBraves.com will provide links to live scoring for all three rounds of the Derek Dolenc Invite.

The Braves improved their team score in all three rounds of the season-opening Crusader Collegiate earlier this week. Junior Jalen Hodges paced the young Bradley squad, tying for 30^th overall at 5-over 221 in his debut as a Brave.

Senior Alex Ciaramitaro capped the Crusader Collegiate with a career-best 75 in the final round and freshman John Stillman carded the low round of the day for the Braves this past Tuesday with a one-over 73.

Following the Derek Dolenc Invite, Bradley will close out a busy opening stretch of the Fall schedule with the Zach Johnson Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa, Sept. 30 & Oct. 1.
