PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Men's Golf will have its third consecutive week of competition with the Braves traveling to Des Moines, Iowa, for the fifth annual Zach Johnson Invitational Monday and Tuesday to wrap up the busiest stretch of the 2019 Fall schedule.

The Braves have played at the Zach Johnson Invitational three of the four previous times the event has been held, winning the team titles in both 2018 and 2016 in addition to claiming a runner-up showing at the inaugural event in 2015.

Play at the par-71 Glen Oaks Country Club tees off Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start for the day's 36 holes, while Tuesday's final round will feature a 9 a.m. shotgun start.  BradleyBraves.com will provide links to live scoring for all three rounds.

Joining Bradley in the 12-team field will be Missouri Valley Conference rivals Drake, Loyola, Missouri State, Northern Iowa and Valparaiso along with four Summit League opponents in North Dakota State, Omaha, South Dakota and Western Illinois.  Former Valley rival Creighton and Horizon League foe Green Bay round out the field.

Redshirt senior Alex Ciaramitaro entered the season with six career rounds and has already doubled his career rounds played this fall, appearing in the lineup each of the first two tournaments of 2019-20.  Ciaramitaro paced the Braves at the Derek Dolenc Invitational in Madison, Ill., earlier this week, finishing at five-over 218 to tie for 25th.  His low round entering the year was 76, but he has fired 76 or lower in five of his six rounds this year and paces the team with a 74.67 stroke average.

Junior Jalen Hodges owns a team-best five rounds of 75 or lower and is just one stroke back of Ciaramataro for the team lead with a 74.83 season average.  Hodges led the Braves at the season-opening Crusader Collegiate in his Bradley debut.

Josh Kirkham has been the top performer among Bradley's three freshmen on the young season and tied Hodges at 15-over 228 at the Derek Dolenc Invitational.  Kirkham has been among the team's top three finishers in each of the first two outings, firing a season-best three-over 74 Monday at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill.

Fellow freshman John Stillman matched his low round of the season (73) in Monday's second round at the Derek Dolenc Invitational and his 54-hole score was seven shots better than his debut.  Nick Armbrust also matched his low round of the year (77) Monday and was eight shots better than his season opening performance.

After the trip to Iowa, Bradley will have a week off from competition before playing in the Flyer Invitational in Kettering, Ohio, Oct. 14 & 15.
