Bradley Track Heads to Iowa for Black & Gold Invite

The Bradley track team is in full force this weekend for the first time during the indoor season, running at Iowa's Black & Gold Invite on Saturday.
 

MEET INFO
The Braves open the meet on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
 
After send a small contingent of Braves during the indoor season's first three meets, Bradley is set to feature 33 different student-athletes this weekend – competing in the 60m dash, 200m, 400m, 800m, mile, 3,000m, 60m hurdles and 4x400 relay.
 

BRAVES AT IOWA
Last year, Bradley made its first trip to Iowa during the indoor campaign since the 2014 season, competing the at the Hawkeye Invitational. David Shadid highlighted a day that featured 21 top-10 finishes by Braves as he set the school record in the 600m. Bradley also posted the second-fastest 4x400 relay time in the men's record book last season.
 

LAST TIME OUT
Alec Danner and Alex Klinkner both won their first collegiate races last Saturday at Indiana State's John Gartland Invitational. Danner crossed the finish line in first place in the mile with a time of 4:16.97, while Klinkner finished first in the 600m run with a time of 1:24.73.
 
Ally Lampert led the Bradley women by placing fifth in the 5,000m run with a time of 19:11.11.
 

UP NEXT
Bradley continues to ramp up its pace during the indoor season, running at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
