PEORIA, Ill. -- With the 2020-21 non-conference schedule nearing completion, Bradley Women's Basketball has announced its first two contests of the season, with the Braves playing a pair of November home games.

Coming off arguably the most successful season in program history, Bradley will face an immediate challenge in 2019-20 Western Athletic Conference regular-season champion Kansas City in the season opener.  The Braves and Roos will square off Wednesday, Nov. 25 (1 p.m.) at Renaissance Coliseum in a game carried on ESPN3.

For the third time in the last four years, Bradley will open a season with consecutive home games; hosting Horizon League member Milwaukee Saturday, Nov. 28 in a 6 p.m. contest that will be available on ESPN+.

Kansas City, which spent the last seven years as members of the WAC, makes its return to the Summit League this year after posting a 21-10 record last year and winning the WAC regular-season title by three games.  The season-opening matchup marks the first meeting with Kansas City dating back to the home opener of the 2001-02 season.  Bradley has won the two previous contests in the series.

Milwaukee finished fifth in the Horizon League last year and was led in scoring by Brandi Bisping, younger sister of former Bradley letterwinner Brooke Bisping.  Each of the four all-time meetings between the Braves and Panthers have been decided by four points or less with two going to overtime.  Three of the four all-time meetings have been in the last 10 years, including a double-overtime thriller (116-112) in the last matchup in the series.

The remainder of the non-conference schedule will be announced at a later date.  Bradley is slated to open its Missouri Valley Conference schedule at home Thursday, Dec. 31 against Drake.
