Bradley Track Runs at Black & Gold Invite

The Bradley track teams clocked 14 top-10 finishes on Saturday at Iowa's Black & Gold Invite.

Sophomore Hannah Ivy highlighted the performances for the Braves, finishing fourth in the 400m premier race. Ivy crossed the finish line in 57.72 for the second-best time in school history and the fastest since Melodie Tuner set the school record in 1991 (56.87). Overall, Ivy's mark was 2.3 seconds faster than her previous PR.

McKenzie Altmayer placed seventh in the mile in 5:02.35, while Gabby Juarez and Abby Jockisch were eighth and ninth, respectively, in the 3,000m premier race in 10:15.03 and 10:17.61. Additionally, three Braves placed among the top five in the unseeded running of the 3,000m with Lily Strauss finishing first in 10:20.81. Sam Lechowicz (10:42.06) and Grace Breitbach (10:43.78) followed in third and fifth.

Luke Hoffert highlighted the day for the BU men, placing fifth in the 3,000m premier race in 8:31.27 – just missing his PR by two seconds. Freshman Matthew Richtman was seventh in 8:39.22, while sophomore Alec Danner finished eighth in 8:41.34. Additionally, Charlie Parrish (8:40.30) and Jack Franklin (8:42.06) placed third and sixth in the unseeded running of the 3,000m.

Sophomore Joey Simon also finished seventh in the 800m run with a mark of 1:55.04.

The Braves are back in action next weekend, competing at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
