Match Recap: Women's Tennis | | Bobby Parker, Associate AD for Communications
PEORIA, IL – Sophomore Nikki Perlwitz delivered the clinching point with a straight-sets win at No. 5 Singles and junior Sandra Maletin enjoyed a perfect day, highlighting Bradley's 4-3 dual match win against Milwaukee (4-3) Sunday afternoon at the Clubs at River.

While Maletin teamed with senior Natalia Barbery for a dominant, 6-1 win at No. 1 Doubles, the Braves (3-4) were forced to rally for the win after falling in both the Nos. 2 and 3 Doubles positions to drop the opening point.

Bradley quickly took control in singles action, however, as sophomore Bozana Lojpur (No. 2), Maletin and freshman Victoria Sánchez Bronzetti (No. 4) all rolled to straight-sets wins to give the Braves a 3-1 lead.  Maletin improved to 6-0 on the season with her victory.

Milwaukee remained alive by claiming a win at No. 3 Singles to pull within 3-2, but Perlwitz had the answer with a 6-2, 7-6 (5) win at No. 5 Singles to seal the team victory.

The Braves will continue their 4-match home stand Saturday by hosting both Western Illinois (9 a.m.) and Northern Illinois (5 p.m.) in a triangular event at the Clubs at River City.  The directional schools will face each other in between their respective matches against Bradley.  Admission is free for all Bradley Tennis regular-season home matches.
