Alex Ciaramitaro Named COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior men's golfer Alex Ciaramitaro (St. Peters, Mo./St. Louis University H.S.) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after posting the first top-10 finish of his career/

Ciaramitaro was Bradley Men's Golf's top finisher for the fifth consecutive tournament, opening the 2020 spring schedule by tying for sixth at the Invitational at Savannah Harbor for his first career top-10 finish. A four-year letterwinner on the soccer team, Ciaramitaro had an eagle during a second-round 73 at the par-72 Club at Savannah Harbor and was tied for 16th in the field entering Sunday's final round. He fired five birdies, including four on his last five holes, on the last day to card a career-best, four-under 68. Ciaramitaro tied for sixth overall at even-par 216. A mechanical engineering major, Ciaramitaro owns a 3.66 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Ciaramitaro and the Bradley Men's Golf team return to action March 9 & 10 at the Grover Page Classic in Jackson, Tenn.
