Tennis Closes Home Stand Friday

Bradley Tennis will host Southeast Missouri State for its final home match until April Friday afternoon at the Clubs at River City

PEORIA, IL – Bradley Tennis will play for its fourth consecutive win Friday afternoon when the Braves (5-4) host Southeast Missouri State (2-5) in a 4 p.m. dual match at the Clubs at River City.  Following Friday's dual against the Redhawks, Bradley will not play again at home until hosting Valparaiso in a Missouri Valley Conference match April 5 at the David Markin Tennis Courts.  Admission is FREE for all Bradley Tennis regular-season home matches.

SINGLES PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK NOMINEE
Natalia Barbery, Bradley, Sr., Santa Cruz, Bolivia
•  Fighting through a 2-hours, 10-minutes marathon match, Barbery delivered the clinching point in Saturday's 4-3 win against Northern Illinois.
•  Playing in the No. 3 Singles position, Barbery outlasted NIU sophomore Fernanda Naves in three sets: 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 to break the 3-3 tie in the team standings.
 

3-MATCH WIN STREAKS
•  Aided by a default win against Western Illinois Saturday morning, Bradley Tennis has won each of its three matches to start its season-long, 4-match home stand.
•  The win streak has allowed the Braves to climb back over .500 for the first time since their season-opening win against IUPUI.
•  Saturday's win against Northern Illinois was Bradley's third straight against the Huskies.
 

SEMO VISITS FRIDAY
•  Bradley will host Southeast Missouri State Friday afternoon at the Clubs at River City.
The Braves will be looking to snap a 3-match losing streak to the Redhawks, who own a 9-4 lead in the all-time series.
•  Bradley is 0-2 against the Ohio Valley Conference this season and has dropped four straight versus OVC teams since a 4-1 victory against SIU Edwardsville Feb. 17, 2019 at the Clubs at River City.
