Gabi Haack Named MVC Good Neighbor Award Winner

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Junior guard Gabi Haack (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) has been named one of 10 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Good Neighbor Award Winter recipients according to a recent announcement by the league office.

The Valley recognizes 10 student-athletes three times annually, honoring the achievements of exceptional student-athletes through the Good Neighbor Award. In order to be eligible, the student-athlete must be in good academic standing, must demonstrate good citizenship through good sportsmanship and significant community service, and must participate in a sport during the season of recognition.

A First-Team All-MVC selection last year as a sophomore, Haack has been named the MVC Player of the Week three times this season while helping the Braves to the first back-to-back 20-win seasons in program history. She is averaging 13.2 points per game this year and is second on the team in both scoring (13.2 ppg) and rebounding (6.4 rpg).

One of five players in the nation this season with 60 or more three-pointers, 160 rebounds and 60 or more assists, Haack is second in Bradley history with 198 career three-pointers and is the only individual in program history to hit 60 or more three-pointers in three different seasons. She was a Second-Team MVC Scholar-Athlete pick as a sophomore.
