PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior infielder Allison Apke (Teutopolis, Ill./Teutopolis) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday.

Bradley's career home run record holder, Apke had five homers in 22 games this season and was third on the team with a .317 average to go with 13 runs scored and 16 RBI.  The only player in program history to hit 10 or more homers in two different seasons, she closed the year tied for 17th in MVC history with 32 career dingers.  After a slow start to the 2020 season, Apke was 11-for-22 with two doubles, a triple, four homers, 10 RBI and 10 runs scored in her last seven outings.  A mechanical engineering major with a 3.33 cumulative grade point average, Apke is sixth in Bradley history with 109 career RBI.  In addition, her .631 career slugging percentage would be a school record, while her .435 career on base percentage is fourth among Bradley career marks.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
