Abby Jockisch Named COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior runner Abby Jockisch (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday.

A four-time Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete, Jockisch took third in the 10,000 meters at last year's MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship to earn All-Valley honors. She also took home all-conference honors in cross country in 2017 after a seventh-place finish at the league championship. This past fall, Jockisch placed 15th at the MVC Cross Country Championship to earn honorable mention All-MVC recognition. An accounting major with a 3.73 cumulative grade point average, she was named a MVC Good Neighbor Award winner.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
