PEORIA, Ill. -- Fifth-year Bradley Women's Basketball Head Coach Andrea Gorski made an addition to the 2020-21 roster, announcing Chloe Rice (Marion, Iowa/Marion) will transfer to Bradley after spending the past two seasons at Saint Louis.

A 5-10 guard, Rice appeared in 53 games for the Billikens over the past two seasons and will have two years of eligibility remaining.  Rice appeared in 22 games in the recently completed 2019-20 campaign for the Billikens, who closed the year 19-13 after reaching the Atlantic 10 Tournament semifinals.

Rice made one start and appeared in all 31 games as a freshman in 2018-19, averaging 2.7 points per game.  Two-thirds of her field goals were three-pointers during her freshman season.

"We are excited to add Chloe to our Bradley family," said Gorski.  "Her strong work ethic, character, and Division One experience will prove to be big factors as we look to continue the winning culture and forward momentum of our program."

Rice helped Marion High School to an 87-13 record, starting all 100 games of her career.  A three-time first-team all-state selection, she averaged 12.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game, scoring nearly 1,300 points during her prep career.  Rice helped Marion to a perfect 26-0 record and state title as a senior, collecting 10.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.8 steals per contest.  The 2016-17 Metro Player of the Year as a junior, she averaged a career-best 14.7 points per outing that season.

She is the first NCAA Division I transfer for the Braves since Briana Gray, also a Saint Louis transfer, played at Bradley during Gorski's first year on The Hilltop in 2016-17.

Bradley is coming off school records for overall (22) and Missouri Valley Conference (13) victories with the Braves concluding the 2019-20 campaign with a 22-7 overall mark and a third-place MVC finish.
