Four Soccer Recruits Receive Top Drawer Honors

Four members of Bradley Soccer's 2020 recruiting class have been honored by Top Drawer Soccer with regional and state honors, according to the release of the website's Fall and Winter season high school awards.

Defender Jake Schoffstall (Palatine, IL/Fremd HS) and midfielder Brock Pope (Lake Dallas, TX/Lake Dallas HS) both were recognized at both the state and regional levels, while goalkeepers Adam Carter (Noblesville, IN/Noblesville HS) and Lucas Fontana (Peoria, IL/Notre Dame HS) received recognition as Fall State Stars from Illinois.

The MSL West Player of the Year in 2018 and 2019, Top Drawer Soccer named Schoffstall to the Fall Mid-East Region squad, which consists of 11 players from the states of Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. The 6-foot defender contributed 28 goals on the offensive end over the last two years, helping Fremd capture back-to-back regional championships and the 2019 sectional crown.

A 6-foot-1 midfielder, Pope was recognized in the winter season on the Texas-North Region squad, made up of 11 players from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, as well as a member of the Winter State Stars in Texas. He was the 2019 District 8-5A and Area MVP as a junior in 2018-19, when he racked up 67 points on 21 goals and 25 assists for Lake Dallas High School.

Carter is a 6-foot-4 goalkeeper from Noblesville (IN) High School and is one of four netminders listed among the Fall State Stars from Indiana. A 5-foot-10 keeper from Peoria Notre Dame, Fontana also was one of four goalies listed among the Fall State Stars from Illinois.

The four recruits recognized Wednesday by Top Drawer Soccer are among 10 newcomers for the 2020 Braves.
