On This Date in Bradley Soccer History, presented by Prairie Farms, Gavin Glinton set the program record for the shortest amount of time between goals by a Brave and netted the first of what would grow into program records for game-winning goals in a season (7 in 1998) and a career (17).

PEORIA, Ill. – For the first time in Bradley Soccer's 12-year history, the Braves (3-0-1) are unbeaten through the season's first four games.  Bradley extended its unbeaten start to the season with an impressive showing Saturday, rolling to a 5-1 win against Eastern Michigan in the first round of the Holiday Inn City Centre Classic at Becker Park.

Freshman Gavin Glinton netted the game-winner in the 24th minute and wasted little time tacking on his second goal of the day and fourth of the season when he scored again in the 25th minute.  With his two tallies coming at 23:58 and 24:22, Glinton's two goals in a span of 24 seconds represent the shortest amount of time between goals in Bradley Soccer history.

Outshooting Eastern Michigan by a 21-10 count, Bradley received offensive contributions from eight different players in its highest-scoring game since a similar 5-1 win against UIC Sept. 26, 1993.  David Lara (8'), Glinton (24', 25'), Brian Kukla (44') and Collin Carson (75') combined for the five goals, while Bryan Namoff, Dan Thorstenson, Stephen Wylie (2) and Omar Feliciano all contributed assists.

Sophomore keeper Adam Gross worked the full 90 minutes between the pipes, recording five saves to earn the win.

In Saturday's tournament opener, Eastern Illinois cruised to a 4-1 win against UMKC.  The Panthers will take on Eastern Michigan Sunday, while Bradley will close out the Holiday Inn City Centre Classic with a 2 p.m. matchup against UMKC.
