PEORIA, Ill. – Junior guard Lasha Petree (Detroit, Mich./Arbor Prep) has been named this week's Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley Women's Basketball split the MVC opening series at Drake this weekend.

Petree averaged 21.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and 3.5 steals per game; while pacing the Braves in scoring in both outings against the Bulldogs.  She scored a game-high 14 points and also had five boards, four steals and four blocks in the opener.  Petree returned the next day to score 15 of her game-high 28 points in the first half to highlight Saturday's win.  She was 8-for-9 from the free throw line, making a pair at the line with 17 seconds left to give the Braves a five-point cushion as Bradley won at the Knapp Center for the first time since 2010 and snapped a 23-game losing skid in games played in the state of Iowa.  Petree also had three assists and three steals in Saturday's win.  An entrepreneurship major, Petree owns a 3.16 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Petree and the Braves are in action this weekend, hosting Southern Illinois in a two-game series at Renaissance Coliseum Friday (6 p.m.) and Saturday (4 p.m.).
