PEORIA, IL – The coaching staff tried to put together two evenly-matched lineups for Wednesday's Bradley Basketball Red-White Scrimmage, presented by Dac's Smokehouse, and the plan played out exactly that way as the Bradley Women's team opened the night by playing to a 35-35 draw in their 16-minute intrasquad scrimmage.

Super senior guard Gabi Haack, who enters the season in need of just 40 points to become the program's all-time scoring leader, led the way Wednesday by pumping in 12 points in her 14 minutes of action.  Haack hit 5-of-6 field goal attempts, while adding four steals, three rebounds and three assists.

Playing in front of nearly 1,000 fans at Renaissance Coliseum, the night's first points came from the freshman class as guard Sasha Koenig drained a 3-pointer to start the scoring for the Red team, a triple that was answered by the White team's freshman guard Caroline Waite.  The rookie guards each scored eight points, with Koenig pacing the Red squad's offensive effort.
Sophomore Tete Danso and junior Sierra Morrow shared game-high rebound honors, each with six boards for the Red squad.  Waite and freshman Abbie Draper each pulled down four rebounds for the White squad.

The defending Missouri Valley Conference champion will play one public exhibition game Nov. 4 at 5:30 p.m., facing McKendree at Carver Arena to open a Bradley Basketball doubleheader.  Tickets for the women's game also will provide admission to that night's men's exhibition game versus Illinois-Springfield.

The Braves will open their 47th regular season with a 3-game home stand, beginning Nov. 9 (6:30 p.m.) versus fellow 2021 NCAA Tournament participant Wright State.  The team's MVC Championship and NCAA Tournament banners will be unveiled in a pregame ceremony.
