Game Recap: Soccer |
PEORIA, IL – The Bradley soccer team played to its first draw of the season after a 0-0 deadlock against Western Illinois on Monday afternoon. The Braves are now 2-9-1 on the year, while the Leathernecks move to 1-11-1.

Bradley's Bryce Logan anchored the defense on the day, recording four saves to earn his second clean sheet of the season and the third of his tenure with the Red & White.

The Braves had the early momentum in the contest and had either team's best opportunity in the game's seventh minute. Reed Rogers had a great look on goal only for the Western Illinois netminder to make a lunging save – one of his five stops on the day – to keep the Leathernecks tied. The early stop was a sign of things to come as neither team was able to threaten the remainder of the game.

BU finished the contest with a slight edge in shots, 13-12, while each team had four corner kicks on the afternoon.

Bradley returns to conference action this weekend, hosting SIU Edwardsville. Kick off at Shea Stadium is set for Saturday at 7 p.m.
