PEORIA, IL – Nationally-ranked Missouri State prevailed over the Bradley soccer team in a defensive battle at Shea Stadium on Saturday. The 18th-ranked Bears improve to 8-1-0 on the year and 4-0-0 in Missouri Valley Conference action, while the Braves fall to 2-7-0 overall and 1-3-0 against league foes.
 
The Bears scored the game's only goal in the 29th minute of play when Kian Yari scored off a free kick from outside the box for the 1-0 advantage.
 
Neither team would threaten the goalie the remainder of the game as the teams combined for nine shots and just the one shot on goal.
 
The Braves are back in action next Saturday with a road contest at Evansville. Kick off is set for 2 p.m.
