PEORIA, Ill. -- Preparing for her 14th season as Bradley Softball Head Coach, Amy Hayes received four commitments during the Fall Signing Period with 5-3 infield/utility Ashley Breeding (Keller, Texas/Keller), 5-9 utility Austin Comstock (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley), 5-8 outfielder Lauren DeRolf (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) and 5-9 utility/pitcher Kierston "Kiki" McCoy (Mapleton, Ill./Illini Bluffs) each signing National Letters of Intent to attend Bradley.

Ashley Breeding (Keller, Texas/Keller) • 5-3 • IF/U • R/R
Keller's Offensive Player of the Year, Breeding was a first-team all-district pick and also earned a spot on the Fort Worth Star Telegram All-Area Team.  She helped the Indians to a district title and state semifinal appearance as a sophomore.  A four-year letterwinner in softball, Breeding also lettered in track her junior year and plays travel ball for Texas Glory coached by Ed Naudin

"Ashley, a player who since verballing, has only raised her game even higher," said Hayes.  "Her commitment to development has us very excited. A speedy versatile middle, she is a great addition to our squad."

Austin Comstock (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley) • 5-9 • UT • L/L
A first-team all-conference pick as a junior, Comstock is a four-year letterwinner for the Nighthawks and is a four-time scholar-athlete pick.  She also served as a Cadet First Sergeant in the ROTC program at Murrieta.  Comstock plays travel ball for Brian Jendro California Athletics-Jendro.

"A strong player who plays with a big presence, Austin will bring a tremendous amount of versatility and leadership to our program," added Hayes.  "She can catch, play a corner and the outfield; giving us a lot of options on where to pencil her in."

Lauren DeRolf (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) • 5-8 • OF • L/R
DeRolf hit .404 as a junior in 2021, collecting 42 hits and driving in 24 runs to earn second-team all-conference honors.  She helped the Millers to a state semifinal appearance in 2021.  Her Indiana Magic 16u-Kleiner team won the Tier 1-Q Alliance championship held at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City this past summer.  This fall she hit .420 as the leadoff hitter for the Indiana Magic Gold Coached by John Lamar.

"One of the purest outfielders we have recruited, Lauren has tremendous speed and is fearless," stated Hayes.  "I have seen her make so many incredible catches because of the jump she gets when reading the ball of the bat and I can't wait to add her to the outfield mix."

Kierston "Kiki" McCoy (Mapleton, Ill./Illini Bluffs) • 5-9 • UT/P • R/R
McCoy was an all-state pick this past year, helping the Tigers to a state title her junior year after going 3-for-8 at the plate and boasting a 1.87 ERA over 15.0 innings of work in the IHSA state semifinals and championship.  A first-team all-conference and all-area selection, she was part of an Illini Bluffs team that finished second in the IHSA state tournament in 2019.  McCoy also lettered in volleyball all four years and is the daughter of former Bradley Softball player Kari David (1998-2000).  A teammate of current Bradley freshman Addie Welsh, the duo played summer ball for Nick Trotter and Peoria Sluggers.

"Kierston is an absolutely gifted athlete who comes to us from a strong Illini Bluffs program coached by Lindsey Lox," said Hayes.  "Another versatile player who can hold down third and give us innings in the circle. We can't wait to see her compete at this level."

Bradley Softball is slated to open the 2022 season in February.
