MINNEAPOLIS – Bradley senior guard Gabi Haack (Elk River, MN/Elk River HS) shared game-high scoring honors with 19 points in her return home, but the cold-shooting Braves (3-2) could not pull off their second win against a Big Ten Conference team this season, falling to host Minnesota (5-3), 73-54, Friday afternoon at Williams Arena.

Haack drained a 3-pointer on the first possession of the game to become the only active player in women's college basketball with 300 career 3-pointers (302), 300 free throws (362) and 700 rebounds (739), while joining men's players Kyle Korver (371) and Shane Hawkins (314) as the only basketball student-athletes in Missouri Valley Conference history to drain 300 career treys.

Led by Haack's eight first-quarter points, the Braves were able to stick close to the Gophers through the first 10 minutes, trailing just 19-18 at the first break.  But after three ties and seven lead changes carried the teams into the second quarter, Minnesota closed the first half on a 17-3 surge to take a 42-27 lead into the half.

Shooting just 22-for-71 (.310) from the field, the Braves were unable to get the deficit back under 15 points the rest of the way.  Minnesota, which made 8-of-13 (.615) field goal attempts during the decisive second quarter, hit 27-of-57 (.474) from the field for the game and outscored the Braves by nine, 11-2, from the free throw line.

In addition to Haack's Bradley got a season-best 12 points from senior guard Tatum Koenig.  Junior forward Sierra Morrow, a Minneapolis native, posted nine points and four rebounds in her return home, as well.  Sara Scalia led the Gophers with 19 points, while Jasmine Powell and Kadiatou Sissoko each scored 12 and Alanna Micheaux chipped in 10 points off the bench.

In the midst of a road-heavy stretch of the season, Bradley will return home for a brief appearance Wednesday by hosting Tulsa in the annual "Field Trip" game, an 11 a.m. tipoff at that will bring approximately 1,500 local grade school students to Renaissance Coliseum.
