Game Recap: Women's Basketball | | Bobby Parker, Sr. Associate AD for Communications and Event & Facility Operations
VERMILLION, SD – Fifth-year senior guard Gabi Haack was Bradley's lone double-digit scorer, finishing with 10 points and South Dakota controlled the game in the paint on the way to a 62-39 non-conference decision Monday night at Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

Hannah Sjerven led South Dakota with 12 points and Chloe Lamb checked in with 11 to complete the game's double-digit scoring efforts.

South Dakota used a 15-2 surge spanning the first and second quarters to break the game open.  Although Bradley limited the Coyotes to 35.3 percent (13-24) field goal shooting in the first half, South Dakota pulled down eight offensive rebounds and built an 18-0 paint scoring advantage in the opening 20 minutes.

Although the Braves drained 9-of-22 (.409) of their 3-point attempts on the night, they were never ever to cut deep in to the South Dakota advantage the rest of the way.  The Coyotes finished the night with a 32-4 scoring edge in the paint.

The Braves will be off for two weeks during final exams and will return to action by playing in the Tulane Holiday Tournament Dec. 20 against Little Rock and Dec. 21 against either Texas Southern or the host Green Wave.

NOTES:  Making her 116th consecutive start, Bradley fifth-year senior Gabi Haack appeared in her 126th career game, setting the Bradley program record for career games played … Haack also drained her first 3-point field goal attempt of the night 1:24 into the game, extending her streak of consecutive games with at least one trey to 15 … The streak is the third of at least 15 games in Haack's career, giving her three of the 10 longest streaks in program history
