Just as the original schedule was to begin, Bradley Soccer will start its 2020-21 Missouri Valley Conference slate on the road against the league's preseason favorite, according to the revised Valley schedule revealed by the conference office Tuesday morning.

The Valley opted to delay the start of the league season, which originally was to begin Feb. 13, when it became clear weather was going to severely impact the ability of all five men's soccer conference to compete during the first two weeks.  Instead of visiting Missouri State Feb. 14 to open conference play, Bradley (1-0) will start the 8-game conference race Feb. 27 on the road against the Bears.

Bradley's four home games are slated for March 4 against Evansville, March 9 versus Drake, March 18 for the return game against Missouri State and March 30 versus Loyola Chicago.  Following the opener at Missouri State, the three remaining road games are March 14 at Loyola Chicago, March 22 at Evansville and April 4 at Drake.

Start times and broadcasting details for most of the games still are to be determined.  Bradley plans to broadcast its four home games through The Valley on ESPN partnership.  While navigating the Restore Illinois: Phase 4 COVID mitigation protocols, Bradley will announce its home attendance policies prior to the home opener versus Evansville at Shea Stadium.

The Braves opened their delayed season Feb. 3 by dumping in-state rival Eastern Illinois, 3-2, at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex Slugger Dome.  In addition to the earliest calendar-year date for a regular-season game in program history, the win against the Panthers also marked Bradley's first-ever regular-season game played indoors.  Bradley's four Valley home games are slated to be played at Shea Stadium.
