Gabi Haack Named MVC Player Of The Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the fourth time in her career, senior guard Gabi Haack (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week according to an announcement by the league office Monday afternoon.

Haack averaged 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game as Bradley Women's Basketball split a road series at Valparaiso last week. She shot 54.5 percent from the field (12-for-22) and was 7-for-15 (46.7 percent) from beyond the arc in the two outings against the Crusaders.

In the series opener, Haack had 16 points, seven rebounds and two assists. She returned the next night to score a game-high 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting and also had five boards and one assist; moving into seventh in career scoring at Bradley with her 22^nd career 20-point effort. Haack also became the 15^th player in MVC history with 250 career three-pointers and climbed into a tie for 13^th in league history at 256 career triples.

Earning Valley Player of the Week honors for the first time this season, Haack joins teammate Lasha Petree as the only players in program history to earn the distinction at least four times.

Haack is third in the MVC in both scoring (16.2 ppg) and rebounding (7.2 rpg), while leading the league in three-pointers per game (2.8) this season. Through games of Feb. 7, she is one of two players in the nation with 50 made three-pointers, 50 made free throws and at least 125 rebounds and the only player in the country to also have 35 or more assists.

Bradley Women's Basketball returns to action this weekend, opening a two-game home series with Northern Iowa Friday with a 6 p.m. game at Renaissance Coliseum.
