McKenzie Altmayer Named Bradley Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. – Senior runner McKenzie Altmayer (Geneva, Ill./Geneva/Syracuse) has been named this week's Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping the Bradley Women's Cross Country Team to a second-place finish at the Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Championship.

Altmayer was the top finisher for the Braves, earning all-conference honors for the third time in her career, with a sixth-place individual finish.  She covered the 5K course in a time of 17:39.0 to pace the Braves.  In addition to the all-conference recognition, Altmayer received the MVC's Elite 17 Award for owning the top grade point average among the all-conference honorees.  An English creative writing major, Altmayer owns a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average. 
 
Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
