PEORIA, Ill. – After opening the season with a loss in a duel with in-state foe SIU Edwardsville in late February, Bradley Men's Golf will have a chance for revenge with the Braves hosting the Cougars in a duel Saturday at Pekin Country Club.
Bradley and SIUE tee it up again Saturday starting at 11 a.m. at Pekin Country Club after the Cougars claimed the first meeting at the par-72 Sunset Hills Country Club in Edwardsville, Ill., back on Feb. 27.
Senior Alex Ciaramitaro paced the Braves in the season-opening matchup with a one-under 71, firing six birdies on the day. Freshman John Stillman was also strong for Bradley, carding four birdies of his own and finishing with a career-best round of 72. Ciaramitaro tied for third overall, while Stillman finished one back in a tie for fifth in the field.
The duel with SIU Edwardsville will mark the first home tournament for the Braves since claiming the team title at the Bradley Invitational in April 2016.
The Braves follow up the outing with SIU Edwardsville with the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate in Springfield, Mo., March 22 & 23.
