Braves To Face Texas In NCAA First Round

PEORIA, Ill. – A day removed from locking up the first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, Bradley learned its first round opponent with the Braves slated to play Texas in the opening round as the full 64-team field for the 2020-21 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament was unveiled Monday night.

Earning a #11 seed in the Hemisfair Region, Bradley (17-11 overall, 10-8 MVC) will face will face #6 seed Texas (18-9 overall, 11-7 Big 12) Monday, March 22 at 7 p.m. (CDT) in a game that will air on ESPN2.  All games of the 2020-21 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament will be played in the San Antonio, Texas, area.  The Braves and Longhorns will square off at Texas State's University Events Center in San Marcos, Texas.

 

Bradley earned a spot in the 64-team field with its first Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title Sunday afternoon in Moline, Ill.  Texas earned was an at-large selection after a fifth-place finish in the Big 12 Conference.
