Gabi Haack Named Bradley Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. – Senior guard Gabi Haack has been named the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley Women's Basketball to the first Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
 
Haack was named the tournament's Patty Viverito Most Outstanding Player after averaging 21.0 points per game and hitting 10-of-24 (41.7 percent) from beyond the arc in the three victories.  In the MVC Championship game against Drake, Haack was 6-for-11 from three-point range and finished with 22 points.  In addition to becoming the first three-time First-Team All-MVC pick in program history last week, Haack was named the MVC's Scholar-Athlete of the Year.  An elementary education major, Haack owns a 3.79 cumulative grade point average. 
 
Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
 
Bradley Women's Basketball earned the #11 seed in the NCAA Tournament's Hemisfair Region and will face #6 seed Texas Monday at 7 p.m. in a game televised on ESPN2 from Texas State's University Events Center in San Marcos, Texas.
