Six members of the Bradley cross country teams were honored for their work on and off the course on Wednesday, collecting Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete honors.

Juniors Matt Aho, Alec Danner and Charlie Parrish collected the accolade for the Bradley men, while senior McKenzie Altmayer, junior Emma Ehrhardt and sophomore Lily Strauss received the recognition for the BU women.

To earn a spot on the conference's Scholar-Athlete Teams, a student-athlete must finish among the first 20 runners at the conference championship and hold at least a cumulative 3.3 grade point average, while being a sophomore in both athletic and academic standing.

Altmayer led Bradley by earning the accolade for the second time during her career in cross country, while the five other Braves all received the honor for the first time. Altmayer also received the MVC Elite 17 Award following the championship for owning the top GPA by an all-conference student-athlete, placing sixth in the title race.

Overall, the Braves placed second at both the men's and women's MVC Cross Country Championships – the sixth-straight season both programs finished among the top two.
