KIRKWOOD, Mo. -- A day removed from firing the lowest round of her career, senior Taylor Ledwein picked up her second career medalist title; taking top honors at the Diane Daugherty Invitational by a stroke and helping Bradley Women's Golf to a fourth-place team finish Tuesday.

While Ledwein was the top individual in the field, Megan Welch had the low round of the day for the Braves on another windy afternoon at the par-71 Greenbriar Hills Country Club with a four-over 75 in the final round.

Ledwein finished at eight-over 221 for the tournament that included eight of the other nine MVC schools, to take top individual honors by one stroke over the South Dakota duo of Danica Badura and Akari Hayashi who tied for second at nine-over 222.  Carding a final-round five-over 76, Ledwein earned her second career individuals title after claiming top honors at the Babs Steffens Hatter Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla., back on March 25, 2019.

Bradley posted its lowest round of the tournament with a 307, but slipped to fourth in the final team standings of the 16-team field after starting the day in third.  Arkansas State claimed the team title with a three-round total of 914, while South Dakota had the low round of the tournament Tuesday (297) to surge up two spots into second at 916 in the final team standings.  Valley rival Illinois State held off the Braves by one stroke, finishing third (923) with Bradley close behind in fourth at 924.  MVC rival Missouri State chased the Braves in fifth overall (937), 13 shots back of the Braves.

Mara Flaherty had her low round of the tournament, capping off the event with a five-over 76 as she slid into the top 20 in the team standings and earned a share of 18th (233).  Welch's four-over 75 moved her into a tie for 27th overall at 237 as she edged teammate Elyse Emerzian by a stroke.

Emerzian tied for 32nd at 238, carding a final round 80; while Maddie Hawkins rounded out the team scoring for Bradley with an 84 to tie for 46th overall at 242.

The Braves return to action April 9 & 10 at the Jan Weaver Invitational in Murray, Ky., in the team's final outing before the MVC Championship April 19 & 20.
