ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Senior Taylor Ledwein (New Prague, Minn./New Prague) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week according to an announcement by the league office Thursday after earning the second medalist title of her career earlier this week at the Diane Daugherty Invitational.

Ledwein took top individual honors at the Diane Daugherty Invitational in Kirkwood, Mo., which concluded Tuesday, for her first individual crown since the Babs Steffens Invite in Daytona Beach, Fla., in March 2019.  In a tournament that featured eight of the other nine MVC schools, she battled windy conditions on the opening day to fire a career-best four-under 67 at the par-71 Greenbriar Hills Country Club.
Helping Bradley to a fourth-place team finish in the 16-team field, Ledwein played the back nine four-under with birdies on 11, 12, 13 and 15 during the opening round of play; with her 67 the second-lowest round in school history.  She followed it up with rounds 78 and 76 to finish at eight-over 221 and claim medalist honors by one stroke.

Ledwein earned MVC Golfer of the Week honors for the eighth time in her career to join Danielle Lemek (19) as the only eight-time MVC Golfer of the Week honorees in program history.  In addition, she is the eighth individual in MVC history to earn the award eight times.

Ledwein and the Braves return to action April 9 & 10 in Murray, Ky., at the Jan Weaver Invitational.
