After a highly successful trip to Ole Miss last weekend, the Bradley track and field teams are back in action at Indiana State on Friday and Saturday, competing at the Gibson Invitational.

MEET INFO
The action begins for the Braves on Friday night as the team's 200m runners are set to compete at 4 p.m. CT.

The remaining events are slated for Saturday as the 100m dash and 100m/110m hurdles prelims begin at 10 a.m. CT with the remaining finals scheduled to begin at noon.

Bradley is set to be joined by the host Sycamores plus Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Dayton, DePaul, Eastern Illinois, Hanover, Illinois State, IUPUI, Loyola, Milwaukee, Northern Iowa, Purdue Fort Wayne, SIU Edwardsville, UIC, Valparaiso and Western Michigan.

LAST TIME AT GIBSON INVITE
The Braves last made the trip to the Gibson Invitational during their most recent 2019 campaign. Four Braves finished in the top 10, while three clocked top-10 times in school history.

SCHOOL RECORD TRADITION
Bradley has made it a habit to set a school record each weekend during the outdoor season so far, establishing at least one mark at each of its three meets and on all four days of competition.

At the first two meets of the outdoor season, Bradley set the women's 4x100 relay record – first establishing the mark at Saint Louis before breaking it again at Illinois State.

The Braves then set four standards at Ole Miss. On the opening day of action, Alec Hartman broke his own 800m record, while Wilma Nielsen set the 1,500m mark. Nielsen added the 800m record one day later with the team of Hannah Ivy, T'ya Suber, Tiana LoStracco and Sierra Bryant establishing a new mark to beat in the 4x400 relay.

TOP-THREE VALLEY RANKINGS
After a successful trip to Ole Miss last weekend, 10 Braves are currently placed in the top three of the Valley rankings.

Hartman and Evan Mitchell rank first in their respective events for the BU men with Hartman leading the way at the 800m and Mitchell placing first in the 3,000m steeplechase. Other top times recorded last weekend include Charlie Parrish (2nd; 3,000m steeplechase) and Matt Aho (3rd; 5,000m).

Wilma Nielsen ranks first in both the 800m and 1,500m after her two school-record performances last weekend. Tiana LoStracco is also second for BU in the 800m, while Julia Nielsen is third to go along with her second-place ranking in the 1,500m. The Bradley 4x400 relay is also second after setting the school record at Ole Miss.

UP NEXT
The Braves are set to compete at the Drake Relays next weekend, opening competition on Thursday.
