Men’s Golf Finishes Sixth At MVC Championship

FLOSSMOOR, Ill. – Senior Alex Ciaramitaro picked up his team-best third top-10 finish of the season, tying for 10^th and Bradley Men's Golf finished sixth in the team standings as the Braves wrapped up the year at the 2020-21 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship Tuesday.

On another windy day at the par-72 Flossmoor Country Club, Ciaramitaro was the lone Bradley player to shoot in the 70's, closing out the season with a five-over 77 as he earned a share of 10^th in the field at 12-over 228. Ciaramitaro, who ended the season with a team-best 74.93 stroke average, was four shots out of the top five.

Bradley turned in a final round 321 during Tuesday's action and finished sixth in the team standings at 936 after the Braves were picked ninth in the pre-championship coaches' poll.

Tournament-host Loyola claimed the team title at 895 behind a dominating performance from individual medalist Devin Johnson (216), who claimed top honors by an impressive five strokes. Illinois State was second in the team standings at 899 and Southern Illinois captured third at 909. Bradley finished 12 shots back of fifth-place finisher Missouri State (924) and the Braves had a four-shot advantage on seventh-place Drake (940).

Ciaramitaro ended the year with a 74.93, which is tied for the 23^rd lowest season stroke average in Bradley history, and his 75.19 career stroke average is seventh in school history.

Jalen Hodges was one shot outside the top-20, tying for 22^nd overall at 235 as he carded a final-round 81. Sophomore Roy Radke turned in an 83 on the final day of play to finish 27^th in the field (238), while Josh Kirkham was one shot back at 239 in a tie for 28^th after posting a third-round 80.

Brady Kreiter rounded out the team scoring for the Braves with an 84 to finish at 247 in a tie for 39^th.
