Alex Ciaramitaro Named Bradley Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. – Men's golfer Alex Ciaramitaro (St. Peter's Mo./St. Louis University H.S.) has been named this week's Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after tying for 10th at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship earlier this week.

Ciaramitaro picked up his team-best third top-10 finish of the year, earning a share of 10th at the 2020-21 MVC Championship which was held at the par-72 Flossmoor Country Club in Flossmoor, Ill., Monday and Tuesday.  He opened play with a two-over 74 and fired matching 77's in the final two rounds to finish at 12-over 228 as he finished just four shots out of the top five in the standings.  Ciaramitaro helped the Braves to a sixth-place team finish.  A mechanical engineering major, Ciaramitaro owns a 3.76 cumulative grade point average. 
 
Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Ciaramitaro finished the year with a team-best 74.93 stroke average, which is tied for 23rd among Bradley season marks and his career stroke average of 75.19 ranks seventh in Bradley history.
