Men’s Golf Duo Plays At Northern Amateur

CHESTERTON, Ind. – Bradley men's golfers Josh Kirkham and Roy Radke both had success at last week's Northern Amateur with each finishing in the top 15 of the 83-person field.

Kirkham finished at three-under (213) for the 54-hole event to place fifth, while Radke tied for 11^th at three-over (219) in the three-round tournament which was held at the par-72 Sand Creek Country Club July 21-23.

Returning to the site where he made his Bradley debut in the fall of 2019, Kirkham improved each round of the Northern Amateur. After a one-over 73 in the opening round last Wednesday, he fired a one-under 71 Thursday and closed the three-day tournament with a three-under 69 to finish at three-under 213. Kirkham tied with William Rieck for most pars for the tournament with 39 over the 54 holes.

Radke, who carded a tournament-best three eagles over the three days, was tied for third after posting a three-under 69 in the opening round. He chased that with a 76 on Thursday and closed out the tournament with a third-round 74 to finish at three-over (219) in a tie for 11^th.

Joe Weller claimed top individual honors at 11-under (205), taking the top spot by three shots over second-place finisher Noah Gillard (208).

The duo got a jump on the fall season with Bradley Men's Golf slated to play at Sand Creek Country Club in late September at the Valpo Fall Invitational.
