ST. LOUIS – As he prepares for his first traditional fall season with the Braves, graduate keeper Bryce Logan (Bellingham, WA/Mt. Baker H.S.) has been selected the 2021 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer preseason all-conference goalkeeper, according to a poll of the league's six head coaches announced Thursday.

A graduate transfer from the University of Washington last year, Logan played every minute between the pipes for the Braves during the 2020-21 COVID spring season and he was voted the program's first MVC Goalkeeper of the Year after leading the league by making 5.0 saves per game.  The Valley's Defensive Player of the Week March 9 after stopping a penalty kick in a shutout performance against Evansville, Logan also was tabbed the All-MVC First-Team netminder last year.

Although he has yet to play in a traditional, fall regular-season game for the Braves, Logan is one of the few veterans on a Bradley roster dominated by youth.  Prior to his transfer, Logan appeared in 18 games during his four seasons at Washington, posting a 12-4-0 record with 8.0 shutouts and a 0.81 goals against average for the Huskies.

Picked fifth in the MVC preseason coaches poll, Bradley's 29-man roster features only five student-athletes who have played a normal fall game for the Braves and none have played more than one fall season at Bradley.

Despite the relative youth, the Braves have turned in two strong performances to start their preseason exhibition schedule.  Coming off a scoreless draw last Friday night at Big Ten Conference member Northwestern, Bradley battled 2021 spring NCAA Tournament participant Marquette to a 1-1 tie Tuesday night in the 12th Danny Dahlquist Memorial Game.

The Braves will face one final preseason tuneup Friday when they visit former MVC rival Creighton in a 7 p.m. exhibition at Morrison Stadium.  Bradley officially will open its 35th NCAA Division I season Aug. 26 by hosting Omaha for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Shea Stadium.
