PEORIA, IL - Returning four of its top six singles players from a spring season marked by a historic winning trend, Bradley Tennis will play an individual season for the first time since 2019, according to an announcement from Bradley Athletics.

In addition to the returning top three of its top four singles players, Sandra Maletin, Bozana Lojpur and Maria Bezmenovathe Braves welcome in reigning Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Year Madalena Andrade (Torres Vedras, Portugal/Colégio Rainha Leonor) and its lone true freshman Kirstin Hailey (Clinton, MA/Advanced Math and Science Academy).

The Braves will open the individual season at the SIUE Fall Invitational September 10-11. Bradley last participated in the event in 2017. Of current Braves, Maletin and Kinga Kovacs both competed in 2017.

Bradley will get back into match action September 17-19 when they travel to the Redbird Invite, hosted by Illinois State. The Braves will be making their first trip to Normal during the fall season since 2012, when Bradley competed in what was then called the Redbird Roundup. On that trip, Bradley won three consolation titles.

Following a two-week hiatus, the Braves will compete at the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships October 8-10, hosted by the Valparaiso Beacons. Lojpur will enter as the reigning 2019 Flight 2 Singles Champion, while Nikki Perlwitz will look to defend her 2019 Flight 5 Singles title. The Braves own five MVC individual titles in program history.

Pending qualification, Bradley will wrap the individual season at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region Championship October 21-25 at the Hawkeye Tennis Complex at the University of Iowa. In 2019, Lojpur won two qualifying matches to earn her place in the 128-player main draw alongside Maletin, who garnered automatic entry. In addition, the Braves had three doubles teams compete in the main draw.
