DAYTON, OH – Sophomore forward Danny Collins scored his first career goal early in the second half, but Bradley (1-1-0) was unable to complete the comeback, dropping a 2-1 decision in its first road game of the season Thursday night against Wright State (1-2-0) at Alumni Field.

Wright State, which advanced to the second round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament, jumped out to the early lead with a goal in the 15th minute and the Braves were never able to climb out of the hole.  Getting their second goal late in the first half, the Raiders held a 4-2 lead in shots at the half, while out-fouling their visitors, 11-5, in the opening frame.

Firing off three shots of his own in the opening minutes of the second half, Collins led an aggressive Bradley attack to start the back half of the game and he broke through in the 51st minute with a shot from the left flank that beat Raiders keeper Sebastian Jimenez inside the near post.

Jimenez stopped Bradley's four remaining shots on goal on the night, however, to prevent the Braves from completing the rally.

Bradley will make a brief return to Peoria before hitting the road again for a Monday afternoon match at Oral Roberts.  The Golden Eagles (1-1-0) will host Northern Kentucky Friday night, before welcoming the Braves to Case Soccer Complex.
